West Swindon Railway Path (Millenium Trail) - River Ray Canal Path - South Leaze Farm Track
A flat, circular, easy walk with the majority of the walk on all-weather terrain, starting on a disused railway path with views across Swindon farmland. It leads onto a recently and ongoing renovated canal path, then goes across sheep grazing land to a short walk on a quiet country road crossing the motorway. Then another short spell on a slightly busier country road with wide grass verges for easy walking, lastly heading back to the start point along a farm track, passing geese, horses and sheep en route (and in the summer you can visit the Sunday car boot sale or even go strawberry-picking!)

Our thanks to Andrew Long for his full update of this walk - July 2010. Adrian (Admin)

This bridge has now been renewed so you can continue the walk as described. However, there is some new building (housing?) in the middle of the walk, which includes a new bridge between points 3 and 4 (which could be confusing). Also at decision point 4 you now take a path to the left down to canal, then turn right and go under the the bridge before the Millenium bridge.

The motorway bridge at step 14 has been removed, meaning you have to turn round and go back the way you came.
