Weston - Halls Green - Warren Green - Damask Green - Weston

This walk takes you through an area which time, in many ways, seems to have passed by. The countryside is picturesque and very pleasant and the little villages are truly rural. We happened upon the grave of Jack O' legs at the end of the walk and never having heard of him, did a little research into his background. It seems that, although he has turned into a somewhat mythical being, he did in fact exist. He lived in a cave in what was then Weston Wood. He was of well above average height, (the length of his grave should confirm this!) and was an accomplished archer. He also has the reputation of having championed the poor and needy, hence the comparison with Robin Hood.

Great walk. Completed on 04/02/2017. Cannot fault the walk directions as they were perfect. However the overall distance turned out to be 2 miles shorter than stated. Congratulations on a fantastic walk.
