Three quiet little villages in the heart of England's lovely Northamptonshire countryside, feature on this walk: Weston, Sulgrave and Moreton Pinkney.
From the main street in Weston, the first part of the route is on a narrow road, with fine views over rolling landscape and then on a bridleway, rural and unspoilt, to Sulgrave, which boasts the manor home of the ancestors of the first American President, George Washington.
On then to Moreton Pinkney, the route picking up a single-track lane, before taking footpaths through fields and meadows, to visit the village Church of St Mary the Virgin, with its squat tower and beautiful interior. It is a joy to gaze at the attractive houses, some small and charming, others, grand and palatial, on the way out of the village.
The last part of the walk is on a narrow, quiet country lane, with lovely rural scenes the whole length, back to Weston, where you can take part in something quite out of the ordinary: llama-trekking, details of which you can obtain in the village. This is an an easy walk offering many pleasures and points of interest.
