05/10/16 A great walk with glorious views. We found the footpath from Kewstoke Road completely impassible now with brambles so carried on along until another footpath sign into the woods on the right (just after Anson Road comes in from the left.) That footpath takes you up the hill to join the track across the Golf Course. Even this footpath is very tricky to follow - best just to keep climbing and you will find the gap in the wall at the summit - poles were definitely an advantage!

A lovely walk until you get to the point on Kewstoke Road where you wiggle and wind your way up, near the end of the walk. The path was very overgrown and extremely steep. It was wet when we did it and it was virtually impassable with all of us slipping; at one point I thought I was going to have to literally crawl up! Some of the bridle paths were very boggy as they had been churned up by the horses. Aside from the negativity above, it was still an enjoyable walk with lovely views across the estuary.
