The walk starts in the car park of the Testbourne Community School before heading up a gentle hill through an area of housing, past a school and into the countryside.

The walk tracks a valley before entering the village of Laverstoke and the interesting distillery. Upon leaving the village, the walk continues along a footpath before crossing a field, later to enter the town of Overton, where you can stop for refreshment.

The walk leads north out of Overton past a church before heading west and north to reach the Harrow Way, which is a shady track on a warm summer's day. The walk heads along here for some distance before joining the scenic Harroway and then cutting across fields once more to re-enter Whitchurch.

The walk leads downhill into the centre of the town, where there is a variety of things to do. The final stretch passes the Silk Museum and River Test before returning you to the car park where you started the walk.

Walk revisited on a cool July sunday following plenty of rain. Squelchy in parts but this will not prove a problem to the prepared walker. There are no longer any stiles! There are plenty of places to stop and rest/eat.

Following Paul's comments, I have re-visited the walk and made the following updates: WM01 - made route clearer at the start of the walk WM04 - Added details of the second gate at the end of the meadow. Made reference to an alternative route which brings you out at WM6. WM08 - Rewrote section to include stile and to make the route clearer across the field. Additional Info - Added steps to take walker along lower section of valley and out at WM06.

Good walk, which I've just repeated, and generally straightforward. However, I've added a few details which may be helpful to future walkers. 4. After passing the two gates in the photograph, keep to the edge of the field to reach and pass through another gate. There are two options now to reach 5. I prefer to go left from the gate, over a stile to pass Bere Mill. Where the road bears left to a bridge, go right past a small farm on the left, through a gate and into a field. Keep straight on to reach the lane shown in 5. Cross this and keep straight on to reach the tennis courts mentioned in 6. 8. The path which descends to the left enters the field over a stile. When heading uphill, ignore the large gap in the hedgerow in front of you. Walk up to the right of this. The gap is some way along where the hedgerow is deeper. When entering the gap, don't go straight up into the field. Turn right whilst still in the gap, this will bring you to the path mentioned with a fence on the right. 9. Follow the track as indicated, but where it forks, go left to reach the junction at Dellands.
