A quite short walk which has most of the uphill sections in the first part; the easier return route is mostly downhill. The route uses mostly field-paths and tracks though some road-walking is required, mostly in Flagg Village itself.
There is one quite steep climb soon after the start, which leads onto the steady, but not steep climb along Taddington Field; this area can become quite boggy in places.
The pub originally used on this walk the Plough Inn in Flagg, closed in 2004, it is now a private residence. There are now Tea Rooms in Flagg though way off the route of this walk adding about 750 mtrs beyond waymark 17 (turn right). Food and drinks will need to be carried for this route now.
