You can combine this one with Walk 8869 and start the walk at Witham Station.
Starting at the single-track line at White Notley, you soon pass Fambridge Hall then through fields and country lanes before passing through Notley Golf Course. The walk takes you through Cressing before following a stretch close to the River Brain before ending up at the excellent Braintree Freeport Outlet shopping village by the station. There is a wide variety of shops here and plenty of food outlets. There is a pub near the start of the walk and plenty of places for refreshments at the end.
