Walk along a great high ridge above the Dorset coast at Lulworth to an intriguing Iron Age hill-fort. Then descend steeply to Worbarrow Bay to enjoy the beautiful and popular beach.

From there visit Tyneham, the village the occupants were forced to abandon during the Second World War, before climbing back to the top for more glorious panoramic views. A short but fairly arduous walk, hence the grading, great care must be taken walking down to the bay and this route is definitely not recommended if the ground is wet and slippery. Take a picnic!

Note: this walk is on an MoD firing range and can be closed to the public at certain times. The MoD road to the viewpoint and Tyneham might be closed during these times. A list of times can be found on the gate at the viewpoint car park - it is open for most weekends throughout the year and during key holiday periods. For more information about times the phone number is 01929 404819
