Beginning at the beautiful old church in Wigginton and following minor roads and lanes through wonderful countryside, this route first of all skirts Swerford on its way to Hook Norton, then turns to visit Swerford, a village divided into two parts, Church End and East End. Each village possesses its own particular charm and interest, each containing a church of individual size and design, an integral and important part of its own community. The views are often quite spectacular across miles of open landscape and scattered farm buildings blend in sympathetically and add interest to the surrounds. The walk is rural throughout in some of Oxfordshire's loveliest parts.
