An easy walk except for the climb up Coles Hill and the walk through Spooney Wood, which may be muddy after rain. Winchcombe is one of the most interesting of the Cotswold villages / towns. There are many interesting streets and shops. The stone has some of the warmth of the north Cotswold stone and plenty of character. There are many photo opportunities here for architecture and wildlife. The mosaic tiles in the ruins of the Roman villa are well worth seeing and the views are great.

We did this walk on 26/06/12 the gate at 10 has gone. At 11 the stile is trashed. Look for wall on right, then look left. The path is not that well defined but it is there and, yes very muddy and wet.

This is a very nice walk. Waymark 10 has changed quite a bit - I took a photo of it if you want me to send it to you to replace it. Judy Brua
