From Wisley Common the walk passes the entrance to Wisley Gardens and continues to the Chatley Heath Semaphore Tower via Wisley Airfield.

Wisley Airfield is a former wartime airfield and was also used to test aircraft built at the nearby Vickers factory in Weybridge.

The Chatley Heath Semaphore Tower was part of a chain used to transfer messages between the Admiralty in Whitehall and the Royal Navy Dockyard in Portsmouth. It was operational between 1822 and 1847.
