Little remains of the ancient village of Wistow. The church sits alone opposite the entrance to Wistow Hall, surrounded by trees and with a small river passing close by. At weekends in the summer the church is open and has some fine monuments which are well worth a look.
Nearby is Wistow Rural Centre with a garden centre, tea rooms and a variety of shops. The walk isn't far, crossing fields to Newton Harcourt, then returning along a portion of The Grand Union Canal, which usually has a variety of boats passing along it.
