Woodbury Common is just north of Exmouth. This walk over the common provides excellent views of the Exe estuary and the surrounding Devon countryside. It is a moderately easy walk but may be a bit muddy in places. Towards its end, the walk passes the site of Woodbury Castle. This is the remains of a prehistoric hill-fort built around 300BC.
