Having contributed a few challenging walks, I thought I would try something a little easier and more accessible for a change. I have walked through the nature reserve many times and I thought this would fit the bill. Its proximity to Woodingdean and Brighton is surprising, and yet at the reserve all is peace and quiet except for the sheep and the skylarks.

I have tried to stay high up the natural convoluted bowl of the reserve where possible. There is a short climb traversing the eastern side but an option to omit this if so desired.

Views span the near and far distances. Up close, especially in summer is the amazing flower display. Natural England and the farmers do a wonderful controlled grazing job to achieve the richness of downland flowers.
