Starting at Wrabness station, this walk has lots of variety to offer. You follow field paths and quiet country lanes through the Essex countryside, passing through the village of Wix, through two nature reserves and a short stretch beside the Stour Estuary.
Unfortunately, a few of the footpaths through the ploughed fields haven't been maintained (Sept 2022) and I would imagine they can get quite muddy in the winter period, so boots are essential for that time of year. Any of the paths that are not signposted, please refer to the directional arrows on the waymark photos for the exact direction to take. For refreshments you will find The Wagon at Wix pub at waymark 11 (see additional info for opening times).
