From the outset of this walk, one is aware of the quiet rural settings, combined with the beauty of natural landscape. The picturesque villages of Wroxton and Balscote are of Hornton Stone and are a delight to visit, their charm retained and unaltered, despite the outside onslaught of 'progress'.

Trees are a prominent feature on the route and stand proudly in their natural environment, gracing the fields and banks, clustered together in woodlands and coverts and often lining the tracks and paths, viewed from a distance in stark contrast against the skyline. It is an easy walk, even for the novice, but one of interest and simple enchantment.
