A gentle little walk in the Cotswolds of Gloucestershire, starting from the pretty village of Wyck Rissington and taking footpaths and bridleways in a pleasant rural area rich in meadowland and thick coppices.

Note that there is a section of just less than a mile along a busy main road. For some of the way, but not all, it is possible to walk on the verge. Beyond this bit of road-walking a wonderful bridleway ensues again in this marvellous area that has its own special appeal.

The long road section (0.9 miles) along the A429 and A424 unfortunately spoils this otherwise very pleasant walk. In fairness this is mentioned in the description. It does however say there is foot way along the roads but this is not true. Along the A424 there is only a narrow and rough verge meaning that you have to walk in the road for most of it. Would definitely not recommend this walk for anyone with young children as the road busy and fast.
