Wycoller and Foster's Leap

Leaving the car park on the outside of the village of Wycoller, the walk climbs steadily onto the moor. Soon a gradual descent leads to a magical stroll though a leafy glen. A good track across the moors joins the Bronte Way and then ascends to the Howarth Road. A fine panoramic stride now leads back to Wycoller via the intriguing Foster’s Leap; it's downhill all the way!

WM11 New bridge across stream so no need to ford unless you want to.

Only one dodgy stile where you cross a stone stile into an enclosed area. Small to medium dogs should have no problem.

Did the walk today (29/4/13). WM2 states to cross the ditch, climb over stile and cross the field. NO STILE on far side of stile. Suggestions. WM1 - Go back out of the car park and turn left along the road for a short distance. Ignore the first footpaths going off left and right and also second footpath on left. Continue along lane to third footpath sign. WM2 Turn left up along the track and pass between the two farms walking along the track for 3 or 400 metres until level with the first farm on the right.
