From Ross-on-Wye follow River Wye north through peaceful meadows and woodland. This is a linear walk requiring 2 cars or the number 37 bus from Hoarwithy to Ross. Once you have left Ross (and the A40) behind, you are in rural tranquillity! The meadow edges and woods are full of wild flowers in spring and buzzards whirl overhead. There are two churches en route: a traditional perpendicular style at Kings Caple and an unusual Italianate one at Hoarwithy.
