This is a walk which can be split into three loops.
The first loop is the start and end of the walk and is the smallest loop. The second loop is also in two sections and the third loop is a complete circuit and is also the biggest loop.
The first loop walk starts at the gate for the church in Ainsworth. It follows a short section of the Village Link before following a lane and a farm driveway to reach some cottages. The second loop rejoins the Village Link following footpaths across fields to reach the first reservoir. After crossing the reservoir the walk continues across fields to reach a rural lane. The third loop follows the Village Link along the lane before crossing fields and up a rural lane to reach a road. There is a short section along two quiet roads before you leave the Village Link crossing fields to reach a third road. There is a longer section along this road before dropping down towards a farm. From this point you cross two sections of fields, with a very short section along a road between them. After the second section of fields you reach the lane you walked along earlier. This is the end of the third loop. You follow the second loop along the road and down to the second reservoir crossing fields and past the cottages you passed earlier. The last section is along the third loop following a road back to the start point. The majority of the paths are marked with public footpath signs although all footpaths are shown on the map. Road names added for clarity for GPS users.
