Our walk leaves the sleepy hamlet of Netherwitton via the bridle-paths along farm tracks and open grazed moorland to the woods at Broomfield Fell, returning via South Healey along the banks of the River Font. This is a great walk where peace and tranquillity are foremost, with a chance to enjoy the wildlife in the area along the way. The route is well-signed all the way around, as some paths have been newly upgraded.

This walk is great....Even I found it relatively easy to follow the guide....however , there is one issue...the woods between 6 and 7 are currently being chopped down and this area is technically closed. There are signs up saying no access and "hardhats must be worn" but I just opened the gate and walked through.....the path isn't near where they are working and I don't think anyone would really care but be warned because its right in the middle of the walk and if they did decide to stop you it would make things a little difficult...great scenery all the way and I never saw anyone apart from two farmers on the whole walk...will definitely do this one again.
