Did this very nice walk again today. Worth noting that the Inkerman Arms has sadly closed down. Also at the starting point of the walk the footpath just beyond the pub has been replaced with an access road (Oyster Creek) which still leads to the gravel lane.

Nice walk but it should be noted that the castle is only open some days in July and August only. We were disappointed to find it closed. Rather than long and very boring drudge along road at end, we turned back at the castle then walked the beach back to Rye Harbour, hugely enjoyable.
