Southdown Gliding Club
The Southdown Gliding Club is one of the oldest and best run gliding clubs in the country. It is situated amongst beautiful countryside only 2 miles from where gliding started as a sport on the picturesque South Downs near Storrington and Amberley. Nowadays, the club''s sleek modern gliders can fly over 100mph and cover distances of 100''s of kilometres in a single day! The club welcomes visitors and you can book a trial lesson or enrol on a one-day ''Introduction to Gliding'' course to discover this amazing sport for yourself. Just pop in and see us!
