This walk is a revision of an original walk by Brian and Anne Sandland. It has been revised due to changes in path routings and rights of way. Starting and ending in the pleasant little Suffolk village of Woolpit, just south of the A14. Using field-paths and country lanes you pass Drinkstone and Drinkstone Green to arrive in Rattlesden. Passing the church and walking through the village you reach more field-paths, which you use to return northwards and arrive back in Woolpit.

We completed this walk yesterday and found it enjoyable and easy to follow. As per previous comments take care with the road back into Woolpit which can be a bit busy. First class refreshments at The Brewers in Rattlesden.

Lovely enjoyable walk on a sunny February afternoon with good views all round and pretty villages and churches en-route. Paths all good and instructions clear although point 7-9 needed careful navigating but we found the map to be useful to firm up directions. Point 7 footpath signpost is before the farm and at the junction of tracks (point 8) you go right rather than straight on and continue up an incline on a clear track. Long stretch of busy road at the end and we would probably make a detour next time to avoid it.

Not a bad walk no7 Aug 15 There is a long stretch of road to return to Woolpit which we found quite busy We did get lost at point 8 as there is a new footpath diversion then at point 9 you have a choice of paths which follow power lines and at the time we walked the cross field path had been ploughed Paths generally good but overgrown at point 6 I think, but still walked in shorts
