Upminster Station - Cranham Marshes - Pot Kiln Wood - Upminster Station

A great walk at the end of the District line tube in Greater London and Essex, through rare peat marshes (which once covered much of Essex), over and under the C2C railway line, Pot Kiln Wood, distant views of Canary Wharf and past some of the architecture of the 'garden suburb' of Upminster, including the large Upminster Tithe Barn Museum and Upminster Hall. There are lots of benches in the marshes for a picnic, or pubs for a spot of lunch or refreshments, two childrens' play areas and ducks to feed within parks on the walk. There are also shops if you have energy at the end. We have marked in the walk where there is free parking, if you prefer to start at one of those points.
