Beautiful Buckinghamshire!

Buckinghamshire is surely one of southern England's most beautiful and accessible counties and this walk has everything: gorgeous views across rolling fields towards the Ridgway; lovely villages with great pubs; locks, bridges and towpaths of the Grand Union Canal; Mentmore Towers set in an Arts & Crafts village; and much more. All this is only 42 minutes from London (Euston) by frequent trains.

We started this walk from Cook's Wharf and the first part was lovely. However, there is a lot of road work and repetition as it is a figure-of-eight walk. The craft shop at Mentmore shut down years ago, too!
