Epynt Visitor Centre - Sennybridge Training Area - Epynt Visitor Centre

The area above the A40 at Sennybridge is one of high moorland and deep valleys. You are more likely to see sheep, hares and red squirrels than people. Most of the area of Mynydd Epynt is taken over by SENTA (Sennybridge Training Area) but the land between the firing range and the surrounding farmland is an area of great beauty and wildlife. This area has now been opened up for ramblers and cyclists and in addition to the Epynt Way, there are a number of circular walks to enjoy.

This walk follows a series of marker-posts and gives a taste of what is on offer. The views are fantastic and although we did not see red squirrels we saw evidence of their presence.
