The walk blends a visit to the protected hamlet of Wycoller with a grand moorland hike. The walker has the opportunity to explore the historical features of Wycoller, visit the information centre and enjoy the splendid views of Pendle and Boulsworth, Lancashire's famous hills. A diversion is recommended to the unusual feature of Lumb Spout.

Did the walk today. Misread info board at WM06 previously and thought dogs not allowed between WM06 and WM07. Dogs are allowed as long as they stay on footpath. Stiles at WM07 in wrong order. Depending on size of dog some stiles may be awkward.

The guide shows a height gain of 0ft. This is incorrect. The total height gain is 820ft with 3 climbs above 100ft.

We did the walk on 6 March 2013. The ladder stile at waypoint 7 has gone. It is replaced by stone steps and gap in the wall.
