There are great views of the mountains north and west and to the south, the Border Hills. In the east the mouth of The Firth of Forth at the Isle of May is visible on a clear day. All justify this varied tramp to the heart of the Ochil Hills. There is exercise aplenty, with the total climbing matching many a grander mountain and the variety of terrain holding the attention throughout.
