The route starts at Elsecar rail station, passes through the edge of the village to Skiers Hall and on to Barrow hamlet, with almshouses and hospital for the Wentworth Estate workers, touching the edge of Wentworth Village at the school. Then it's through open fields to cross the M1 Motorway and reach Chapeltown Park and eventually the rail station.
