You arrive at Burton on the hourly More Bus 24. Burton School is the last stop on the route before turning left to return. From the bus stop you walk along the road to a public footpath across cultivated fields. After a wooden bridge and stile you cross the Avon Way, which goes from Salisbury to Christchurch, then cross a further two fields to come out unto some lanes. The path then crosses two more cultivated fields before passing through a farmyard to go out and walk alongside the Mude Stream, which flows into Christchurch Harbour. You pass under the railway line, pass to the left of a ford and come out to Somerford Sainsbury's Superstore, which has a cafe, to the return bus stop. Buses return every five or ten minutes to Bournemouth Square.
