'Bournemouth Bus Pass' Walk: Canford Heath to Bearwood

A lovely late-afternoon or early-evening stroll to get the feel of Canford Heath Site of Scientific Interest and to see different parts of Bournemouth on the bus routes out and back. Yellow Bus 18 goes hourly from Bournemouth to Broadstone, stopping outside the Asda store on Canford Heath Estate. The walk goes up a local tree-lined, redbrick footpath through the estate and out onto Canford Heath. You ascend a slightly steeper short section of sandy track to a ridge with views across the heath and down to Poole Harbour and the distant Purbeck Hills. The walk continues along another track going north to Bearwood to a bus stop for four buses an hour return to Bournemouth.
