From Santa Gertrudis we begin by walking through an extensive area of pinewoods before arriving at the rather sad ruin of the once beautiful old farmhouse, Can Cosme. After enjoying some magnificent panoramas over towards the capital Eivessa, we continue through timeless countryside. Walking along, the peace and beauty are such that it is hard to believe that we are on an island visited by millions of tourists annually. Eventually we reach the main road that connects Eivessa to Santa Gertrudis and continue through farming country on the other side. We are heading north now and eventually reach the road that connects Santa Gertudis with San Lorenzo. Once across this we have only a little stretch through woods to bring us to the outskirts of the village once more.
