The walk starts, like the others in the series, at the Tolpuddle Martyrs' Museum. It is to the south-east of the village and is mostly on bridleways, with only one stile by an opening gate. A short cut can be made that will enable a buggy to be pushed, making it suitable for families. The route goes through the churchyard in Affpuddle and along a section of the River Piddle before reaching the east end of the road through Tolpuddle, which goes past the children's playground and the village pub.
