Starting from the road-bridge over the Afon Aber, this easy walk starts through woodland following the river upstream and shortly opening out into open countryside. A diversion is taken through the Coedydd Aber National Nature Reserve, from which you emerge with the falls in full view. It is then a short walk to the falls, where the water forms crystal-clear pools at its base. After sitting and taking in the site a small diversion is taken across the base of the mountains to Rhaeadr-fach, another waterfall about half a kilometre away. The return follows part of the outward route but can include a visit to the exhibition barn, where the valley's past is outlined.

Walked on 10th April 23 and found all footpaths clear and open. Therefore no problem.

When we walked this in Feb 2023 we found that the footpath was closed alongside the forestry. Therefore the only alternative is to flow the standard path there and back. This makes this walk somewhat redundant. Also parking is a rather exorbitant £5.00 and the machines currently taking coins only.

What a great walk this is surrounding views are great and waterfalls are the highlight.

Great Walk with fantastic views. It can be extended too for a longer and fabulous walk. A short, easy to watch video of the adventure is here; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27TMSlngXbc Best Regards, Ian Adams

We can only reciprocate the other comments. It's also dog friendly (on leash because of livestock). Also there is a nice hardcore 'easy access' track all the way to the falls.

Stunning walk through great scenery, reminded us of the lake district. I would add however that this is a little nearer a moderate walk due to the terrain. No problems with navigation on this excellently written walk. 8/10.

We thought this walk was fabulous. The waterfall is stunning.
