The walk follows the River Aeron up past the weirs and returns through woodland. There is plenty of interest for birdwatchers and lovers of wildflowers.

There is an optional visit to the National Trust property at Llanerchaeron, which has lovely gardens.

A great walk, but at No.5 on the walk, it is not possible to tell whether you are past the old quarry, and the footpath sign has disappeared, but as long as you drop down to the right and not gain height to the left you should be ok.
