This walk starts in Aberdeen's Duthie Park gardens and follows closely the banks of the River Dee. It involves crossing a couple of very busy main roads but otherwise is a very quiet rural walk. After hugging the banks of the river, it turns inland past a reservoir and nature reserve before reaching the site of the former Deeside Railway line. The walk continues along this until it returns to Duthie Park, whose winter gardens are worth a visit at any time of year.
Please note parts of this route have been recently tarred (July 2005).
