Starting at the village of Aberedw this route takes in a big circuit around the River Edw, one of the tributaries of the River Wye. It's a mix of gentle ascents and descents up to a maximum height of around 460m, relatively featureless bracken-covered moorland, mostly good clear tracks and undemanding navigation. You've got a choice of a big loop of over 25km with 800m ascent, or a marginally less challenging 20km and just 550m ascent, so please read the instructions before you set off (for options and diversions see especially Waymarks 43 and 57, also 46).
