Arenas de Cabrales – Poo de Cabrales Circular

This is an uncomplicated hike that takes us from Arenas de Cabrales across the Rio Castaño and quickly up into the verdant pastures and orchards above the town. We later enter dense beech and birch forests and soon begin our descent back into rich open country as we approach the quaintly named Poo de Cabrales. Our way back is lower, passing the Palacio de Cemuda and following the course of the Rio Castaño back into Arenas.
