Our way begins in the town of Arenas de Cabrales (famous for its blue Cabrales cheeses), walking up through the town to pay a visit to the lovely old church. From here we will make a circular tour, climbing up into the Sierra a little to enjoy some wonderful scenery. We return to the church and then set off eastwards through farming country before curving to cross the road-bridge over the Rio Cares, just outside Arenas. From here we follow a lane parallel to the river, which brings us back to Arenas.
