My friend and I did this walk a couple of weeks ago. It was a beautiful warm sunny day and the walk was very enjoyable. However as it was early October there were hundreds of pheasants around and we were unable to let the dogs off apart from a short five minute run in a field. Ideal for non dog walkers or non pheasant chasers though! Just thought I would let people know

This was a great walk on a chilly but sunny January day. There was a good variety of walking, excellent views and plenty of interesting properties to peruse.Lovely. Just wish it had been longer!

Thank you Richard for this lovely walk, this time of year with all the autumn colours makes for lots of lovely photo opportunities. Good directions and we were lucky to hear the wolves at Longleat calling, Buddy dog thought that was great.

Did this walk today (Jan 17th) and it was brilliant. Excellent directions and with fabulous views to take in. Lovely to know such a lovely walk is within such easy reach (we live on the outskirts of Bristol). Thank you, Richard!

Brilliant walk - thank you very much, Richard. Did it yesterday in overcast and rainy weather. Plenty of waymarks, all within short distance of start in case of early return to car necessary. Views from Heavens Gate stunning. Variety of terrain - fields, woods, roads. And those thatched cottages. Well done - more please.
