Found the walk to be very enjoyable, a visit to the Hall is well worth it. We did divert slightly and that was just before point 17 near the rising sun PH we opted to walk along the canal towpath from bridge 87 to bridge 86 passing the rear of Ramsdell Hall. Bridge 86 is where you can rejoin the walk along SWC path, at point 20.

After looking for another easy weekend stroll, this provided just the ticket. Directions were great. I've been meaning to visit the hall for a long time so this gave me the perfect excuse. (Although we took a detour along the canal instead of following the road, which meant the puppies could remain off the lead a little longer). I'm certainly looking forward to exploring more of the area.

At point 19, there is now a new marked and gated footpath app. 30m long from towpath to farm track. Sadly I didn't have my camera to illustrate this, but the sentence " There is a disputed footpath......." is now redundant.

Pleasant undemanding walk, glad I joined- keep up the excellent work.

We did this walk 10th February. The walk was well produced and photos were helpful. The only criticism is that the car park and Hall were closed (presumably for winter) - however there is a lay-by about 150 yards from the entrance to the hall on the A34.
