This walk in Windsor Great Park takes in the panoramic vistas around Virginia Water Lake, visits the various features and landmarks and explores the Valley Gardens, beautiful at any season but especially superb in springtime.

The route passes close to the three main car parks serving the park. In the vicinity of both the Wheatsheaf and Savill Garden car parks, there are Express Cafés and trailers serving baguettes and hot and cold drinks etc.

There are no stiles, nor brambles or nettles on this walk - just a few gentle slopes! It is a great walk for biddable dogs; in most parts of the park they can be let off their leads.

A lovely walk. This is our 2nd time walking this walk (walked in 2016). A few things have changed but the directions are still good. At waypoint 5, the path is now blocked by a huge fallen tree which has growth around it so just carry on the path and you will ascend and reach the waters edge, then turn right to continue. Parking at the start is now £9 for up to 3 hours and £12 for over 3 hours, payable by card only at a machine. Good variety of refreshments available, queues were long but things are opening up now after Covid. We walked 13.09.2020 and there was Polo going on so you may catch a game if you're lucky! 10/10 for a stunning walk!.
