Starting over meadows, this circular walk then takes you along magnificent tree lined bridle paths for most of the route. Arrowe Country Park is made up of some 250 acres of open parkland, ponds and several play areas for children. The Arrowe Brook has one of the few natural waterfalls in the Wirral (photo on the right), although really, it's more of a cascade. An excellent, easy circular walk but after recent heavy rain, and in winter, the bridle paths can become very boggy. This is an alternative route to walks 3472 and 7609.
This walk is good for older children, senior citizens, and everyone in-between. There are a few kissing gates but no styles so its excellent for dogs. Much of the walk is unsuitable for wheelchairs and buggies, but if you do the first part of the walk in reverse and keep off the bridle paths, other sections of the park will be good for them. Suitable footwear in summer will be anything stout with flat soles, but you will need boots in winter. There are no toilets or refreshments, and no bench seats on the route, although these may be available in other parts of the park.
