This walk, created in 2013 by the Ramblers and Wirral's Footpath Officer, has its own waymarking in places. The walk is some 26km / 16 miles long, more than I want to do in a day, but I noticed a way of using public transport to divide it into two loops. The northern section begins at the bus station in Heswall, where the southern loop ends, then goes north by footpaths towards Arrowe Park before turning east and then south through Storeton and Brimstage (Craft Centre and cafes) to finish in the pretty village of Thornton Hough, where a bus can be taken to return to Spital Station.
