Starting at Ashbocking, the walk takes you to the remote-feeling Ashbocking Hall and Church to the west of the village. It then circles round to the north and back to Ashbocking. The route is mostly flat and there are only two stiles. There is an atmosphere of peace and quiet throughout the walk which encompasses tracks and field-edge paths with very little road-walking. Between Waymarks 5 and 6 the path can become quite overgrown, but is still passable. There are no pubs on the line of the walk.
