Ashbourne to me always means the Tissington Trail and points north but I recently took the opportunity to go south of the town, as I was attracted by a recreational route marked on the map. I followed this for as long as I could before making a loop back to the start. It was a really lovely walk with the only drawback a temporary path closure that meant using lanes for a bit more than I wanted. These were so quiet though, that the walk wasn't spoilt by them and as the clocks had just gone back it shortened the time needed, which was handy. See what you think - I might be able to get back another time and modify the walk.
