Walked this again on 2 Mar 2022 and again reversed the route. Despite there being low cloud still a great view from the top of the hill. The only downside is that between ST53715 70884 and ST53458 70559, the path was very muddy and being a downslope was somewhat hazardous. However, this was after some heavy rain and is probably good for the majority of the year. The top tip would be to plan an alternative around these two points

Walked this today 23 Mar 2018. Reversed the walk to get higher more quickly. Splendid views over Bristol. This walk is mainly on good paths so not too muddy despite recent snow! Stopped off at the Angel Inn in Long Ashton. Welcoming with log fire. Good standard fare in pleasant surroundings. The car park at Ashton Court can get very busy so plan an alternative starting point in the high season.
