This walk is part of the 100-mile walk from Glenapp to Skelmorlie. It covers several bays with sand, rocks and pebbles where seabirds and waders can be seen and many wildflowers. This part is easier when the tide is not fully in as there are more stretches of firm sand. It is possible to walk along the side of the road but this has dangers and is noisy. At the narrow Kennedy Pass the path climbs up on an old coach road with panoramic vies over to Arran and the Firth of Clyde.
