Chepstow Park Woods are extensive; there are areas of mixed woodland but most of it is evergreen. The Forestry Commission is improving the woods and putting in seats and viewpoints. This walk will enable you to explore and familiarize yourselves with the layout of the woodland and you will then be able to follow other tracks on your own and maybe find your way about. The return route at the lower edge of the woods affords lovely views across the Bristol Channel.
